A man from Helsinki suspected to be a victim of a e-mail scam.

In 2011, a 33-year-old man from Helsinki got an e-mail from an unknown person, stating that he was the next of kin of a unknown foreigner.

The inheritance was supposed to be nearly 14 million pounds.

The victim replied to the email and got many replies in return with instructions where he was asked to pay a variety of fees so that the inheritance could be transferred to his bank account.

The victim transferred at least 40 000 - 50 000 euros abroad. Eventually, he started to suspect that he was getting conned.

The victim made his last transfer at the end of year 2012.

Similar inheritance scams are going around the internet a lot.
