New variety this year. Savoy cabbage, never had it before but thought I would try it after seeing this:

That looks good! Last year we were too late/didn't have much time to grow vegetables in the garden, exept some herbs, which grew fanaticaly. Only the garlic we planted didn't do much and withered. But to our surprice, just before the last snow fell, the garlic came up again! It seems the garlic here likes cold. |

Looks tasty.
I've pretty much given up on growing brassicas. It's war from beginning to end with the beasties and creepy crawlies.  |

That looks great! I have cabbage moths around here that drive me nuts! Savoy is a great strain. What "USDA" zone are you living in to harvest it now? |

^^^ Zone 10. Boiled half the head last night and made slaw with the other half. Next one to be cut into cubes and sauteed in olive oil and garlic. |

Love the taste but daren't eat the stuff. Can't move more than 5 steps away from the loo. Same problem with spinach. |
