I have a chance of putting idea's forward on what subjects i would like to see on British stanps in 2015.
No idea when this survey has to be filled in by.

No idea if they would be chosen, but has any member an idea for a subject that could be chosen, by the way our "Queen Elizabeth II" has the final say.

So can we have your ideas, please.

@Roy - great photo of the red arrows there, would second that.

How about:
1) Indigenous animals of the UK - dormouse, red squirrel (sorry SOOI), badger Wink

, fox etc
2) A series entitled 'unsung heroes', featuring nurses, paramedics, firemen, police, coastguard etc

To answer Cougars questions,
Dormouse been commemorated in 1998 and 2010, Red Squirrel in 1977 and 2004, Badger in 1977 and 2004 and the Fox in 1992 and 2004, others Song Thrush, Hedgehog, Hare, Otter, Pine Martin, Roe Deer, Yellow-necked mouse, Wild Cat, Stoat, Natter's bat, Mole and Water vole.

Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics have no seperate stamps they are on one in 1998.
Firemen in 1974 and 2009, Police in 1979, Coastguard in 1972 and Lifeboatmen in 1963.

RAF in 1986, but no Red Arrows.

Looks like the rest can be put under Internet Baiting.

Here's a question,
"Which active member on this site has had a Commemorative British Stamp, printed with their Eater name".

In 2015 it will have been 800 years since the Magna Carta was signed, this has inspired later Constitutional documents including the United States Constitution.

^ not so far fetched as you think, 1966 World Cup Football, also a special stamp marked England winners, 2003 Rugby World Champions and 2005 Cricket, winning the Ashes.
They did bring out a special set prior to the 2002 World Cup Football as we didn't win that has not been repeated.

Fed up with the Olympics yet, well we have had commemorative stamps issued in August 2008 for handover, Oct 2009, July 2010, July 2011, then Jan, July, Aug, and Sept 2012.

I agree with Nailgunner, I nearly keeled over in the post office today when I bought 20 stamps, actually it was embarassing, there was me standing waiting for change after handing over a £10 note...

^ it doesn't end there, remember the postal gauge if your cards are over 353mm longX by 250mm wideX 25mm thick, then you have to queue up to pay extra, otherwise the person receiving the card has pay the extra+£1, that is for second class, first class the sizes are smaller.

Have to queue up anyway to send a card to Denmark.

Second class 50p, First class 60p, the cheap rates for christmas stamps didn't last long.

^^While we're bashing the Post office, used to get the mail delivered to my house between 9 - 10am, now it's anytime up to 3pm. Rolling Eyes
