Hi guys,

Love the general idea of what this site is about. I have a question i'm sure most noobs have, but when I get an obviously scam oriented email such as:

"Hi, my name is Kristina and i want to chat with you!
I found your mail thru a dating site so i asked myself,
why don't i write a line to you Wink

I want to to find a nice friend, a man, perhaps a lover.
yep, i used to talk about relationships and erotic themes straightly and
i don't like any tricks, it's all so simple Smile

,
so if you don't mind we could use a chance to talk a little
and share a couple of photos with each other, perhaps some hot pics also?!

If I simply reply to the email in an attempt to scam bait, does the act of replying cause them to, I don't know, breach my email provider's security somehow or does it open my computer up to virus's? I would imagine clicking any photos attached to the email probably would but simply replying to the email, will that cause any harm? Or would I have to do something like run a virtual OS or some kind of tech head thing like that?

Hello ^^ and welcome.

If you reply to such an email, do not respond from your RL email account or any email account which attaches to your personal RL details. We set up email accounts specifically for baiting which does not have RL details.

As with any email -- RL or baiting -- we do not click on links we are unsure of. Whether RL or baiting accounts, there is the propensity that something could contain a virus. Many of us use FREE programs which protect our computers -- I use avast! Antivirus. That doesn't mean I am absolutely 100% safe, but if I get to a site that I should not go to avast! rings in loud and clear.

May I suggest that you read the stickies, announcements, and Eater U.....and also sign up for a mentor who can help you on a one-to-one basis. The sign up panel is in the are of Scambaiting Help Hints & Tips. Also when posting in a thread for the first time, it is a good idea to read any guidelines for posting in a particular thread.

Hello everybody,

I'm new at the forum and I'm a new baiter.
My Nickname is Blotz, I'm 22 years old and I live in Germany. I would love to bait scammers but I never did it before and so I need a lil bit help at all. I prepared some things: I got a fake e-mail account [email protected], I prepared some fake passports and driver licenses, I got a US phone number via k7.com and I gave away this e-mail adress in a lot of guestbooks. I would be very happy if somebody has any hints and tips for me.

Welcome to Eater!

We don't send fake passports to lads. If we send a Neustrian passport, the lad will edit it and reuse it on a victim who may not know that there is no current country called Neustria. (Austrasia and Neustria were Western European countries many centuries ago.) We take valid JPEG and PNG files and edit a few bytes so that they turn into trash, or take other kinds of files and slap a JPEG header on front. After a few iterations, the lads usually accept them.

As stated we do not sent fake passports, driver's licenses or any other fake photo identification as the scammers will most certainly re-use it.

Best thing, sign up for a mentor. That will give you one-on-one assistance.

Been reading a few of the letters (the harry potter one and the crusade to fetish village immediately spring to mind.) Thoroughly enjoyed, and already have a spam email set up to try my hand. Without giving out your real address, how do you get them to send you stuff like the banners in the fetish village letter, or is this not recommended?

Hello All,
Another noob here. I've been doing quite a bit of amateur baiting for a while now, but after stumbling upon this site I've decided to turn pro (grins evilly)! I've found that most of the dozens of fiancees I've had were more than willing to wait a few weeks after asking for money if I simply explained that I would be glad to help them, however I do not use a bank account, as I don't trust them. I buy gold bars, which I keep in a vault in my house. Invariably, those pesky gold brokers and their odd hours buy me a few days, and once I make the transaction I am dismayed to discover that he's simply a front man for his partner in New York, London, etc. Well, the partner has to ship the bars to the home office where it must be analyzed (lots of crooks out there you know), and once the bars are authenticated only then will a check be mailed. Usually the mere mention of gold bars makes lads and vlads alike salivate, and they become my obedient pets for weeks on end. I hope this might be useful to someone else out there helping to keep these jacka**es from victimizing others. Anyway I love this site, and I'm proud to be a member.

This is a declaration of war.

I have lurked here for a while, and had many laughs reading great baits of the past. But I never felt the impetus to bait myself, until recently when a close family member was scammed by one of these crooks. Now I want to strike at them as hard as I can, and to that end I have registered here.

I am not in this primarily for fun, I am looking for the best ways to waste as much of their time and money as possible. I intend to harass, confound, and confuse the enemy to the best of my ability, so that they shall not be able to prey upon their targets.

Please direct me accordingly.

G'day mayches. (That's my way of saying mate)

I'm a Euro-Asian (What, like half of mainland europe and the whole sinosphere?) living in Sydney.
My first language is English.
My second language is Polish.
My third language is partially learned Japanese
My fourth language is not of speech, but of hearing. I can understand, but cannot speak Vietnamese.
I plan on learning Korean and Chinese soon. (Yay Sinosphere (The sinosphere is China, Vietnam, Japan, and the Koreas(where gangnam style comes from)))

I am interested in Nuclear Physics, Astro-Physics, and Computer Science. I despise biology and geography.

I like to make digital graphics, and some other forms of digital media, and have written a handful of (very basic) programs/extensions of programs.

Edit: Oh yes, Appel Sas is Swedish for apple sauce.

^Don't plan on doing too much baiting (just the occasional, or, on a trolling spree (I don't troll good people though, just scammers and the like))

I am also rather good at graphics, so if anyone is in need of making some official looking docs to send to the scammer, feel free ta flag me down.

Read all the stickies, baiter uni posts, and even pore over the posts of past and present baits for ideas about your own characters you want to use.

Hi all. About a year or so ago one of my main email addresses ended up part of a major security leak -- along with my credit card number, though I sorted that out very quickly -- and since then I've been inundated with a constant stream of 419 scammers. I figure I may as well get back at a couple of them somehow -- and it sounds like a good way to wind down Razz

After you sent it off to Alan you may get an auto reply (or not) but if you sent to his correct address, he will receive it.
