Last week I went through a real scam where my busness received a check in the mail and everything.
I was told by this forum to drop it because it was my real information. I processed everything as a real victem and ignored the emails and texts. After a few days she stopped hounding me and I haven'yt heard anything since.
Well, today I got an urgent email wanting to know what's going on with the check. The funny thing is, she addressed me as Matthew instead of by my real name. Apparantly got me confused with somwone else.
I was wondering if there is a way that someone else or maybe I could bait this person under other identity to tel them I died, went out of business, or was a scam itself.
I hate to leave the poor lad hanging out there all worried about her check and all . . . |

If you have an email that is in no way connected to you or your work, why not just start all over with him/her/it? He can obviously go through and connect your mail addy with your real life if he puts even a bit of effort into it. Always err on the side of safety! |
