Ok I confessed on that thread.
I first got the internet a couple of years ago and I learned things I never wanted to learn. I mean, come on, how was I supposed to know what some of these things were referring to. They sounded so innocent 
And I Googled and clicked links.

and here was me thinking this was a thread about cat flea control and maybe alternatives.
Our cat is allergic to Spot On, he itches then eventually goes bald around the area the drops are applied to.
On the other subject, years ago, when we first got the internet, in those dial up-whee eee ooo- go for a cuppa-its nearly connected days I ought I'd help Ogglings with a school project on mammals.
I searched ( before google) for American Beaver...
as it turns out a lot of them seemed bald too
They been on flea treatment?

Is it all chemical treatments Nanny, or just spot on? Local vet stocks something called stronghold, have you tried that?
Poor kitty  I use spot on with Martha, she doesn't like it one bit - usually takes a few attempts to get the full dose on her, then she scarpers like a mad thing and spends the next 24 hours trying to lick it off, glaring balefully at me and generally looking very miserable! Still, as I tell her, it's preferable to having fleas. |

We use Advantage for Fleas on the critters. You put a dab behind the neck and it seems to do the trick.
We used to look after a cat by the name of 'Spot' some years ago. She was a fine little Girl but has since gone the way of the Bison.
On the topic of odd Google searches, a friend of mine...(Honest it was not I!!) once got interested in Bear Hunting and searched for something along the line of Bears near you.
Hilarity did not ensue for him, although I have been laughing about it for quite some time. Honestly, did he think that Black Bears were going to advertise on Kijjiji? |

^^^ I use that Advantage for the cats too.
One time I used another well known brand that you don't need to get from a vet or pet store.
Darn near killed my cat. Had to take him to a pet ER and when we figured out the problem, had to take my cat home and give him a bath.................have you ever had to give a 13 yr cat a bath who had never had a bath prior! Oh, was it fun and games!!! |

We do get drops for the back of cats neck from the vet, but I can't remember what it's called
I'd rather he was treated than deal with fleas and other unwelcome pests
Our rats got lice once, probably from contaminated bedding
We had to get each rat weighed and work out those dosage in drops
I must admit the phrase "I'm off to nit comb the rat" does sound odd |
