I completely agree with JMR regarding NO but I also think they are due a win and pretty good chance this week. I'd be less sure about the Bears as mentioned with Forte out and I think Cutler still has question marks over his head.

I agree with JMrazor and bravo. SF should win handily.

JM pointed out earlier the Jets at Miami. I love that spread.

I feel Jets win by 10 or more. Mark Sanchez was doing well until a blow to the head from LB Timmons stunned him.

He only completed 3 for 17 passes after the hit. CB Reavis was not in the game.

This is a divisional game though..just my opinion.

I'm a Steeler fan, but I thought that the Jets were playing fairly well until Sanchez got hurt.

So is Atlanta good or does Denver just suck? You can't really count thier win against the Chiefs. Ryan is looking better than I thought he was.

Anyone have any week 2 in Super Bowl predictions?

^I told the hubby that I don't see anyone challenging the 49ers this season. I'm standing by that statement until I'm proven wrong.

The Super Bowl almost always has a surprise participant. From last year's Giants to the Cardinals a few years back. There's always a dark horse that either slips into the playoffs (like the Giants) or just goes on a tear from nowhere.

The 49ers are clearly the front runner at this point, but as we all know, things can happen. Injuries, scandals or just bad luck.

So, it is really impossible to predict who makes it to the Super Bowl after Week 2. Too many variables -- it's all blind luck if your pick makes it. If the sharps in Vegas can't figure it out, there is no way we will.

But, if forced to give a prediction, and based solely on intuition from how the teams have played so far, I will give a pool of 5 teams that I think can produce a Super Bowl winner:

1. 49ers -- not a tough pick
2. Ravens -- losing to the Eagles will be a good lesson. They have offense and defense and good coach.
3. Panthers -- okay, here is a non-obvious pick, but think about it. Very good QB, very good RBs, winnable division (unless the Falcons are really that good).
4. Texans -- very winnable division, good QB, great RBs, very good defense. Their coach isn't so smart all the time, but I could see it.
5. Broncos -- who's to say Peyton won't figure it out?

Wow. I have no love for the Packers, but omg were they robbed. The league had better end this lockout soon or someone is going to get seriously injured (aside from the scab officials).

The Foot Locker salesmen are killing the season! It seems to be spreading in to college ball also. I m seeing a lot of confusion, late calls and missed calls there too. I know the rules change from one level to the next but damn!

That's a lot of angry gamblers. The NFL will never admit it but they need Vegas. I would venture to say ratings would go down 30% if Vegas closed the sports books.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon before a player gets seriously injured. The play the ref through his hat in the end zone that Ogletree slipped on probably lost the catch but could have been worst easily causing an injury. Not to mention all the players are testing to see what they can get away with.

Of course there's a good chance one of the refs will get their ass kicked by a coach too.

^^^I sincerely hope that fans and players and coaches don't out take their frustration on defenseless officials, no matter how scabby or incompetent. In my opinion the fault lies squarely with the NFL.

It is truly a travesty.

Thak goodness the game was not played at Lambeau. The field would've been rushed and the Refs torn apart and made into brats to be served to Viking fans at a later date.

I wonder if God-el has been able to get a legitimate phone call in his office since more than half of Packe Nation tweeted or posted or emailed his direct line all over the interwebs!
