Honey mike was brought home from school yesterday , i had a call from my mum and she notified me telling me he had to be brought home cos he was feeling strangely ill , but school authorities took him to the hospital for some medics and run a few tests before he was brought home.....

I had a call this morning , and it was the doc mike was taken to ,he said tests was ready and i needed to come there for him to explain furthur things to me ...

I did go there very early in the morning because i had to get to work very early and give a better excuse so that i can rush back home and take care of mike ...

Doc said mike is sick of malaria due to excess mosquito bites ,and needed to be taken to the big hospital iin the city for better treatment ..cos he said he was a local doc and do not have enough test machines and enough drugs to cure him , all he can do is just provide him with few drips and aspirins to keep him healthy for sometime , i am sad baby ..

Hmm mm his rough estimate about the funds for mikes cure was approximately 1730 usd...

Baby that's really a lot i don't have enough cos i already paid for bills and fees and mum wished she could just help ....

Dear am kinda of baffled now and am turning to you now if i could get any help from you ..

Doctor Nathaniel arrived around 7.3oam , and without any further delays examined mike and he assured me mike is gonna be perfectly fit again ,he said treatment is going to take 2-3 days depending on how strong his immune system is ,or how deep the infection is cos a drug will be given to him to boost those and will be treated with different drugs, i insisted the doc should provide me a list of all drugs which will be used in the treatment ,just for my curiosity , and he agreed .....

And about the bills , he was like malaria is not a disease which is so hard to cure , not like those that require operation that can be estimated to a specific amount , he also said it will be hard and un-right to predict a fix or gauge and approximately amount for a treatment like Mike's , cos everyday lab technicians and science help produce new drugs which heal faster than others , and ignoring the cost if that's gonna heal a patient fast without any after complications or side effect , such drug will be applied , and also he said bills can rise due to the number of days an admitted patient spent at the hospital and the drips are also a cause ...

When i was leaving mike was asleep , he is on a drip and has been giving some drugs , the doc says it will make him sleep a lot , i am kind of high spirited now at least i feel better ... thanks to you to , i will go back there in the evening to check on him ...

When i visited mike last night he was awake , i did lots of talking with him just to keep him active and happy and his response i must say was kind of encouraging ,..

During a physical examination, the doctor found an enlarged liver or enlarged spleen. And about the drugs for the treatment The doctor said There are a number of different types of malaria medicine that the healthcare provider can recommend. Most of the time, these medications can be taken by mouth. Patients with severe Plasmodium falciparum malaria, or who cannot take medications by mouth, can be given the treatment through an intravenous line, i wonder what that mean , i just kept on nodding my head like i understood what he was saying ...

He said ,Chloroquine is one of the medication which will be used to treat mike , he said It is approved to treat an infection caused by any of the Plasmodium types. However, some Plasmodium falciparum parasites are resistant to the medication, which means chloroquine will not work to kill them. Also, people infected with P. viva x or P. malaria may need additional medication to prevent a relapse, or return of the infection, he was like if treatment was to be delayed it could have cause severe and potential fatal disease ..In addition, the medication primaquine can be used to treat the forms of malaria parasites that may lay dormant in the liver...

For now he said of medication used to treat the disease include chloroquine, mefloquine, doxycycline, and quinine and will keep me updated if any is added ...Well i had to take some notes down just to keep you clearly updated and know whats going on ,and about improvement in his illness doc says he was getting better , he used a term which i cant recolete

I visited mike this morning and surprising , there was one cute lady nurse entertaining him , whiles he was been fed , i had to slow down and stay behind the curtains just wanted to see how he was doing without my presence, but he saw me from a distance when he was turning his head over , and he was like mummy !! i almost cried m i stood by and watch the nurse fed him and i spend a little time with him , the doctor came in and he was like i told you your boy was going to be fine and you can see the the prove now ......i just smiled !!

Mike is perfectly doing well now and doc Nathaniel is saying he will be ready for discharge on Saturday ,Bills will be all be summed up to 1625 usd , he says we will be giving a treated mosquito net approved my the ministry of health to sleep in , so as to prevent any further sickness again and including some drugs mike has to take for three weeks ..

Baby , you misunderstood me , the doctor said he was ready for discharge , but since the payment wasn't ready i just gave an excuse like i wanted him to stay for a few days more to see if he will be fine ..

Baby , i doctor confronted the doctor and he said with all due respect he is not hosting our son , just that he want me to know when patients are discharged all bills need to be paid on that day of a day after,he said its the decision of the management of the hospital and it such procedures it not followed he will be sanction by the management ...

Well and baby about the payment , he was saying bank transfer takes a maximum of three days before getting into his account and may cause certain delays , they always advise western union money transfer which doesn't take days just hours ..

Baby, please get Mike discharged now! He doesn't need to be looked after for extra days. What that person is telling you is an outright lie. They cannot force anyone to pay that bill within a day and they can never make such policies. I know a doctor that travels to Africa to help the needy. They tell me that most Africans can never afford such bills and would certainly not have it with them in the hospital. His lies are pathetic and have no basis in reality.

Mike got discharged yesterday and was able to go to school to day , i was glad to see him back in his normal fitness

Hello again angel! Thank you for telling me which one he was talking about. Looks like i have a new game to learn about. I hope he won't mind teaching me all about it. I don't even keep up with American football any more. I'll probably be a terrible student at soccer.

I'm glad he wasn't hurt real bad in the game. Wish I could have been there to pick him up and dust him off but I'm sure my little man might be embarrassed if I did it in front of his friends. Regardless of the injury, I hope he had fun.

Well Mike is good in teaching , i quiet remember ,one evening , there was total black out in the town and we were all sitting there idealing and he was like , mum Mrs Leticia tot as a song at school and i wanna teach you , he sang it perfectly and i followed up and any time i made a mistake in one of the lyrics he was like ' No STOP !! ..lol thats not the correct word , any time you make a mistake we will start it again ..lol he kind of make me happy most of the time ..

Good morning angel! How are you and my little football player today? I am glad to have a great teacher where soccer is concerned but I hope he doesn't try to teach me to sing. No possible good could come of that. Does Mike have a favorite team or player?

Good afternoon princess! I hope you are all doing well there today. It's not too bad here, just cold and damp today. It is like a fine mist hanging in the air with us here.

It seems that we will have no problems where music is concerned. I have a pretty extensive collection of all kinds and a pretty nice stereo setup for listening. I think you'll find my movie and game collections adequate also. Even though I am not home much I made sure the kids and grand kids always have something to do.

Baby, who is this miss Lisa person Mike speaks of? Is this a teacher, a friend or girlfriend?

Good evening my queen! I hope you are all doing well there tonight. I am just coming in for some supplement and a thermos of coffee to keep me awake then I'll be back out getting ready for the work that is going to happen. I'll be awake for the next 2-3 days getting all of this done and will only be able to read and write when I come out to my trailer for coffee or supplements or something.

The PS3 is one of the few I don't have. I have a 1 & 2, Super NES and the N64.The majority of the games are the the PS 1 & 2s though. I feel bad for you knowing he will be bugging you for the 3. It is hard to say no.
