^This is the mod thread, not the beer thread. I have it on good authority that those 2 things never mix. Mods are upright members of society and an example to us all.

Be warned if you are thinking of putting yourself forward. NN started a campaign to have himself modernized and was successful. Where is he now? Confused

All I know about the procedure is you get a surprise PM asking for your: Full names, bank account details, private cellphone number, some photo ID and marital status.

I have done some secret research on this subject. I have uncovered the following requirements are mandatory:

1. Must be able to out-drink the local drunk in any town you happen to be in at the time.

2. Must be able to sing your own National Anthem forward and reverse after doing so.

3. Must be able to speak three languages and murder at least three more languages.

4. Must have a MENSA tested IQ of 150 or higher.

5. Must know the socket size of every vehicle's lug-nuts produced in the world.

6. Must know the Latin name of the common shrew.

7. Must be able to re-create the table of periodic elements in detail.

8. Must be able to stand motionless for four hours.

9. Must own a Swiss Army Knife.

10. Must know the exact number of galaxies in the Universe.

BTW, I didn't get past requirement #1. LOL.

I'm not sure whom your source was, but I am amused.

#1 - this is most members. Why do you think we have Mods?

#2 - not a requirement - singing backwards can be taken as sign of demonic possession.

#3 You didn't set any standards, like what level proficiency and how tested - a bogus entry.

#4 - shrug, I averagely test 136 - 142 on any accredited tests. I will resign tomorrow.

#5 - Why? Are Mods also supposed to be mechanics?

#6 - Google. Again, a pointless requirement.

#7 - See above.

#8 - Many of our members are active or former military or LEO. Standing still is pointless, unless you are house plant or tree, in which case we expect you to do so.

#9 - Gerber is better.

#10 - You do?
