So I get a call from my mother a few days ago, Excited, Saying she won a bunch of money. After a few minutes of talking I went over and she showed me this letter she received. She tells me she gave them her address which worries me, However they did not ask for any other information.
Inclosed is the letter, any additional info would be helpful.

Note the third paragraph: you can collect the money once the "Clearance Fee is deducted and paid". Standard advance fee lotto fraud of which there are numerous examples here.
My advice is to throw out the letter and have mum forget about it.  |

It's amazing how many times this lottery number has come up in the past few years!
Based on previous reports of this scam, they are actually fake check scammers disguised as lottery scammers. Their MO is to send a fake check with instructions to cash it and send in the money for taxes, etc. They promise the rest will be sent after the taxes are paid. So it is very important that you make it clear to your mother that cashing the check is not an option. |

Be aware that if she's phoned and given her address she may start to get bombarded by other scam letters as well. |
