Hello all! I guess you could say I'm new here. I (re)discovered this site after reading an article in the Wall Street Journal online about scambaiting that mentioned this site. Sorry fellow baiters, posted a new topic in the main forum. Whilst on my phone, should have known better to do it on there....
anyways, after working in IT for years now, and being a massive 419eater fan for yonks. Got a scammer that was to good to resist emailing my company. So I took the plunge. On with the bait at the moment. Lets see how long I can keep it going. Unless he snipes me first!

The mentoring program is available AFTER you make ONE post. Since you have made that one obligatory post, go back to the sign up panel and sign up for a mentor. There are about 18 openings now.
In the meantime please read -- the stickies, Eater U, the thread on what to do while waiting for a mentor, and also the guidelines for posting at the start of each forum thread. |

Howdy all,
I'm new to this but am already enjoying myself. I've got a couple of baits on the go atm but I've already lost a couple. There's an interesting range of scammers out there...some are much more convincing than others.
I already have a fav quote despite the fact it's early days: "You MUST send the delivery fee to me, i am an anointed Apostle!"

I may as well say hello. Just joined and have a mentor now thanks. Great advice on here.
I have two of these goons on the go and my weapon of choice is going to be confusion. Repeating myself and asking questions three times, sending shopping lists, hospital test results and other random stuff by accident as Mr Fawlty is as senile as they come. |

Hey all, I'm newly-registered to the site. For a number of years, though, I've been on and off following scambaiting, as I find it to be freaking hilarious.
I'm a 22 year old male American expatriot living in China, working as an English teacher. Pretty nice gig and all, but what got me onto this site and deciding to try my hand at baiting directly was, I've received a number of 419-related emails in response to ads I've put online for my English tutoring services. So that was kind of the last straw, and I've decided to join you lot in helping to fight these scum.
Granted, I can't directly bait the ones who messaged me, because I have some identifiable info on my original ad, but I hope to ruin some other mugu's days. It's the spirit of things, right?
Oh, and per the name, I'm (among other things), a huge nerd and H. P. Lovecraft fan.

Hi all. I was involved with this kinda thing a few years back, but didn't have the free time to really work it. Now I'm done school and need something to do when it's 2 a.m. and I can't sleep.
