Hi, I work for a Christian publishing company and I monitor the general email account. I get a lot of requests for Bibles and other material that we DONT even sell like computers, etc and they provide an address to send the material to. As a Christian company we of course feel compelled to donate products when we determine the customer really is in need however I suspect these emails from Nigeria are all scams. What is the purpose of thieves/liars asking for Christian material and Bibles? They don't usually ask for $ unless I tell them we can't send what they're asking for. Then they ask us to wire $ to a Christian bookstore to purchase material for them - which of course we won't do. Any insight???

This sounds like a variation on a classic 419 scam. Most likely, whomever they want you to wire money to is either in on the deal or is a mule.

I would suggest that if you do get more emails from such folks, post them in one of our forums. We have many here who would jump at the chance to bait "religious" lads.
