It is not good there. My one daughter flew there to adopt a young girl from there. She was locked down in the orphanage for a week til she was able to get to the Embassy to make arrangements to fly back Stateside and now my daughter is on some " fly list" because of her trip to Ethiopia.

A friend of mine is on a fly list in the USA, simply because he has an Egyptian Customs stamp in his passport. He went there from the UK on holiday a year before flying to Florida. When he landed in the US, Customs officials, struggled to believe that anyone would want to go to Egypt for a holiday. Surprised

Internet in Egypt was breifly disconnected a while ago for a few days but is running again. As for being on a list because of visiting Egypt. I think there is more to that story. I have an Egyptian and far worse stamps in my passport and have temp residence status in the US granted after visiting.

While this idea sounds charming at first sight, I'm not sure that I like the part about getting a lad on Skype. No need to point them towards modalities that makes life easier for them, and getting one on Skype definitely would.
