I have one published bait with some French in it (the lad used a computer to translate English to Spanish) and another, not yet published, in which my dollar chopper wrote in French textspeak. Both lads are in Côte d'Ivoire.

Welcome to the recent new members.

The usual advice is read the stickies, guidelines for each thread, Eater U and since you have made one post you are eligible to sign for a mentor to help you get started. The mentors have a wealth of information and experience and best of all they are FREE!

Also some of the threads are behind log ins and others are not but you will always be safe posing questions in Help, Hints & Tips.

Welcome to the Eater fold, Ambassador.

Here is the age old advice of Eater members -- The Ten Commandments!:

1. Read all the stickies.
2. Read all the guidelines at the beginning of each forum
3. Read Eater U
4. Sign up for a mentor (You have made one post so you are eligible).
5. Start out with a nice "straight" bait - nothing fancy, like safaris, trophies, etc. -- You can find some letters in the Surplus file
6. Be sure to bait safe, meaning no RL information attached to your baiting address, etc.
7. Know that some threads are not behind a login and can be googleable.
8. Don't worry if your first lads twig -- they do that to experienced baiters also
9. Ask questions.
10. Ask more questions -- Eater members are happy to share their experiences and ideas.

Just joined up yesterday, and took out a Premium Membership straight away!

I have no idea whether or not I can be as fiendishly clever as some of the wonderful examples of scambaiting I have seen here already, but even if I can't, I'm happy to donate a little money to support your efforts!

I intend to do a fair bit of "lurking" for the moment, until I get a few ideas and feel confident enough to take on some of these scumbags myself.

As for the advice to get a mentor - I HIGHLY recommend it. These folks are MORE than helpful and they will make you first bait(s) a lot more fun, and in my case - PRODUCTIVE. (I'd thought I'd lost my lad halfway through, but with good mentor advice, I've still got that sumbitch on the hook!) All the icons I have gained have been from the first bait, and I couldn't have done it without the one-on-one pro advice I got along the way.

He published some things on a website and I liked the idea of getting involved.

At the time I'm setting up my account, starting to work on a character, and look for some places where a scammer can hide.

Nothing to fancy, I might be the worst victum ever, so let's start slow and see what happends.

I've been lurking about for a couple of weeks now so thought I'd offically say hi.........hi.

Got a couple of scammers on the go at the moment, and I'm amazed with the amount sadistic pleasure I'm getting and BS I'm now freely comming out with.

All those thoughts and things which I'd like to say and do in RL but can't have now found an outlet Laughing
