After what I can only describe as a LONG TIME of trying, surgery, more trying, enrolments in the IVF program, more trying, more trying and more trying.
Today I picked up my wife, and out of the blue she says to me, "be careful with me, I'm pregnant you know"
No I didn't know. Is this really how you drop the bomb?
After all the time I have spent on here, I wonder if maybe this is some cruel scam. There's a few people I can think of that would have assisted her to trick me.
She is only a couple of weeks along, way to early to be telling people, but hey, if it goes pearshaped, I will just pretend I was scamming you guys when I announced it.
Is it wrong that already......... I miss the trying? |

Poor iMike. Letting the parents do all the fun stuff like nappy changing, teething trouble and tantrums, while you get lumbered with walks in the park, buying treats and giving cuddles. How will you cope?

Congrats! I got scammed but in a little differant way. One drunken night I had told my wife who was constantly harassing me about kids to just not tell me when we were trying. I didn't even remember the conversation. About a year later my wife came up to me and told me we have been trying to get pregnant for two months now and it worked.
Joking (not realky a joke though) aside the first time I saw my son I knew he was my greatest accomplishment. Then without trying (at least that was my wifes story) our daughter joined the family 16 months later. Your life is soon to completely change but you won't want it any other way. |
