I just found out that I have been communicating with a scammer. I feel like an idiot, but mostly worried about my kids. I am using an entirely different email and user name for this. But I need to know should I be worried? I met this guy on Chemistry.com and I'm worried about how much he knows about me. Where I work, the city and state where I live. I own house, so it wouldn't be hard to find me. Is there cause for concern. I don't know where to go for help.

First, welcome to the board. Second, DON'T feel like an idiot. Something told you this wasn't right and you were smart enough to look at it. Cut off all communication with this person. If you post the email(s) and header information, minus anything that is yours, in the Surplus area, someone may get him distracted.

the sister site scamwarners is your best bet: www.scamwarners.com A lot of us are also there as well.

I would drop this guy like a hot potato and when he realises you're gone, he'll go elsewhere looking for his payday. While the chances are slim that he'll push it (Lads are notoriously lazy) they are still criminals and are best dropped.

Welcome to eater, just wish it was in better circumstances

Oh yeah, I'm sure I'm not the only one happy to try distract your lad for you. The ditz has been a bit quiet lately Wink

Overall I'm really pissed and happy to have found your site. I'm reading up on how this is done and can't wait to have a little payback. Thank you for the replies. I'm obviously very new to this and needed ask people with experience. Looking forward to having some fun, at their expense this time.
