Mermaids are feared and hated. I used the threat of them in one of my insults and the response was delightful. Lachesis recycled it in a dollar chop, and subsequently described his lad as "remarkably upset" which is all to the good. |

True story:
One year I went as a young adviser on a trip to Key West where we chartered a boat to the Dry Tortugos. That's the prison where they sent Dr. Mudd who was the Doctor who set John Wilkes Booth's leg after he shot President Lincoln. I took my Fins, Mask, & Snorkel on the trip and was out in the water diving and found a bikini bottom. I kept it and put it into a small ziploc bag. When I got back to Michigan I took it to my best friend Barney (Who was a "dirty old man"). I told him I took them off a Mermaid before I made love to her. She told me to keep them forever as a token of our love. LOL. After being in salt water and then being damp in a ziploc bag for a week, I'm sure it won't take much imagination to tell how bad they smelled.
