I found my way here from via romancescam.com after falling pry to that particular type of vermin lad. After a bit of time feeling shell shocked I am now keen to learn the art of baiting romance scammers. What I have read here is inspiring. I've established a safe identity and email. It would be great to be mentored by someone experienced.
I also have a question. My scammer has surfaced under a new identity but (stupidly) with the same story. Should I go after that one or not as he is still working his scam |

Hi, Beulah.
I am sorry that you were scammed but glad that you found a support group and Eater.
Romance scammers are tricky little bastards, and can be very hurtful and destructive....I would suggest cutting your teeth on some other scams as you feel your way around, first - this would better equip you with quite a few tools should you decide to go after your lad again. |

I am sincerely pleased to hear that.
I will also point you towards scamwarners.com...the Admin there is wonderful and you will find quite a bit of information there with which to arm yourself to protect you and yours from further scams. |

I did check out scamwarners.com thanks. I also did a big of digging on the IP adress of my lovely romance scammer. As it turns out it gets several google hits for 4189 scams. The best of both worlds

^^ Sorry to hear about your experience. Romance lads are vermin as you say, praying on the unsuspecting.
There is lots of good advice on Eater. The best one after reading all the stickies, Eater U, or whilst reading it is signing up for a mentor. With a mentor you will get personalized advice and attention.

Welcome. Romance scammers are, as Morgain says, the lowest of the low. they are also very patient and manipulative. Baiting them can actually be quite hard work. You may want to try a different format first just to get the hang of things, after all lads are free, and fully recyclable after use. Your new mentor will be able to get you started quickly. They are free too |

if it's lads you were referring to you should weigh them really. What's the going rate for pig food? |

Even if you bothered to weigh them, I doubt any lad would be worth his weight in dog crap.
Anyways, you should warm up with some small, simple baits first. And practice the dolla-chop. Make up ridiculous stories, and have fun. Your first few baits probably won't last long, I think my first bait lasted for a week, but eventually you'll get really good at stringing the bastards along. I highly recommend Eater U. |
