The report from Northern California. Clear Lake area.
We had approx. .06 of rain, ALL of December. six-HUNDREDTHS of an inch.

You could spit and put more water on the ground. Nothing in January.
The weather forecast every week is the same. Sun and clouds for another week.

Highs approx. 55-60F. Lows 28-34F.
That's 13-15C in the day, -2, 0, 1C at night. For you metric folks.

We need rain badly. Our average is 29 inches for the year. From Oct. to May.

^^Your not the only one who needs rain, parts of the east coast of britian, have been declared a drought area.

They reckon that 10 inches of snow yeald 1 inch of water.

that was a picture from a newspage in liechtenstein (next to vorarlberg) about lech am arlberg and zürs.

eastern austria is snow free. it was raining yesterday.

at least, it's heavily snowing in on a skimountain, where i like to go skiing. they need the snow.

I don't bounce like I used to and my left knee is going bad. I think my skiing days are over. I hate getting old.

You must have been to NE Ohio. The lake effect fizzles out around US Highway 30. It gets really crazy in upstate New York.

situation at the moment:

eastern austria: nothing

western austria: ~3m

today, vorarlberg (one of the nine member states of austria) was cut of from the rest of austria. (means, to reach vorarlberg, people had to travel through germany or italy)

No snow in my region and its 40F., temps to drop with only a trace of snow expected this week.

Still no rain here. Sunshine with temps in the mid 60's and no wind. I spent a couple of hours on the beach in my bikini yesterday, playing frisbee and catching some rays. Very Happy

Consistently in the mild 70's here. Rain tonight and chilling down to 67.

I heard that Houston TX is experiencing dreadful weather and school hallways were flooded.

My peonies are against a South facing wall and the ground is thawed. I am checking them every few days to see if they are coming up, I hope they don't.

We are well into our 3rd growing season and our neighbor just brought over some of his "winter" cabbage. Absolutely 1,000% better than store bought!

The weather here in the UK is not playing the way it should this year either.

Today in my little corner it is freezing cold, very windy, but gloriously sunny.
This it the first real cold weather we have had this winter, it has been mild until now. The result of this is that all the daffodils are coming into bloom really early (you don't normally see them until at least March) but if there is a freeze on the way it will kill them all- and there has been no snow here yet either.

We had around a foot of snow Friday, and it was very cold last night. When I got up this morning it was -2 degrees F.

Friday was a real mess. Was raining Thursday night, and then the temperature dropped to below freezing right at the morning rush hour commute. Everything turned to ice and then it was whiteout conditions and high winds. Was horrible driving all day Friday and Friday night. Hundreds of accidents.

Its not only the UK forecast to have snow, but Seattle, Washington, USA which is use to rain and is not fully prepared for snow, is going to suffer a heavy snow fall on wednesday, they have been advised not to travel.

Well coastal Maine, about 4 inches of snow dropped, them it warmed, changed to rain, about an inch of rain. Was about 40F.

Supposed to clear up and being in the 35-45 range for the weekend. Got to go to the hills for any significant snow levels.

We are enjoying some very mild winter weather here (70's) which is very good for our tourism and the "snowbirds" that drive down from up north. Our azalea bushes are in bloom.
