Hello Folks,

Some people from Panama have tried to scam someone I know with a bogus contract.

He was made to believe that the Government of Panama granted his company a contract (he travelled to there several times in order to meet "government officials" and submit his proposal).

He was told that the government will deposit US$ 19 MM into his company's account once he buys a surety bond from this guys:

www.aigsuretybond.com

In order to purchase these guys bond, he has to deposit US$ 235k to Aig Holding Corp (a Delaware registered company - obviously not related to AIG, Inc) in an account in TD Bank Delaware.

Has any one ever heard of these guys?
Any ideas on how to get back at them?
Is this a new scam or just another type of advanced-fee scam?
