Dear fellow baiters Smile

I am new here, but hope i can be usefull for others..
I can see on the dating scam topic, that some of you fellows ask "Is this genious or fake?" ...
It is not always easy to figure that out on the picture, simply because Russian girls 1: Often takes studio pictures. 2: Yes there is quite a lot of insane beautiful girls in Eastern europe.

What is the reallity however: (mainly talking from Russian point of view).
Scammers have the idea that the rest of the world thinks that Russia is Soviet Union still, and that reflects the text.
So here is some tips to trap them:
Every russian girl that would be online for dating has both internet at home, e-mail on their cellphone and so one..
A girl who is online for dating do not have a "standard written" e-mail.
They will never use any "i love you" words in an e-mail
With few exeptions, all Russian girls on an international dating site knows fair/good english.
Russia is not a banana republic, so people in general are NOT pore.
Russian girls have no exeptional need to leave Russia
Scammers always have " i dont smoke/drink" in their text/profile.. (Russians like to party, and 90% of girls drink) thats the easiest way to see the scammer..)
Russians have two passports, a domestic and one for travel. always ask to see the travel passport. This passport is european standard, and shall look like any other european passport.
A serious girl fixes her own issues with paying for visas ect (it is not expensive for any russian).

I also forgot to you all: I have seen scanned "passports" with the name: Natasha.. be aware that the name "Natasha" itself does not exist in Russia. Natasha is a dayly shortening for Natalya... (god knows why, its not shorter at all) but so it is..

Hello AlexRUS27 and welcome to Eater!

It's always great to have a new baiter with language skills on board. I would advise that practising on a russian scammer or "Vlad" as we sometimes call them will be a lot more fun and educational if you sign up for a mentor which you will be eligible for once you have replied to this post (I believe a minimum of 2 posts is required)

You will learn much more this way and probably quicker too.

Phil, thank you for answer. And special message for you - your thread "Bad mom" is amazing - I can't believe that it's possible to do such things with scammers. I don't know did you manage to receive full control over "poor crying Mike", but it was unbelievable, amazing, etc.
Thank you for advice - I will try to find a mentor soon.

Your compliments are very kind. I was lucky to find Mike. Not all scammers are willing to invest so much time - but when they do they're usually convinced that we're rich, real victims and that gives us the edge we need!

Have fun - and if I decide to hook a vlad in the New Year I'll be sure to come to you for some tips.

To NextVictim: thank you for information. I will definitely pay attention to these links - but before engaging an ongiong baiting,I still need to learn a lot, just to be able to look "real" for them.

I do have both in progress but others working the same person in their own way keeps them away from others. lovess might be a good one for you to gain comfort with. He replies every other day.

EDIT: Wiola may still be at it. If you want to try him PM me. Make sure you post these Vlads behind a login until you finish with them. I've been caught a few times.
