Hey all.

Those of you who cares, may have noticed that I haven't been around a whole lot lately. This has been due to a huge workload. Now, my employer has chosen to reward the work I've done by closing my position, which again means, that for the next period of time, I will be focusing on finding a new job, rather than messing with mugus. So I won't be around a whole lot the forthcoming months. If you send me an PM, please be patient, as it may take 1-2 weeks before you get a reply.

Sorry to hear about the job. Good luck with the new job search. You have been missed and will be missed.

I always hate it when employers let you go right before Christmas. Those are the Scrooges.

Yes, being shown the door just before Xmas makes my blood boil. Two of my best friends are in the process of moving in with me for a few months. The husband had been working in a plastics plant, 12 hour days (nights, actually) for the last 5 months to 'catch up on contracts.' I don't blame my employer. The company (trust owned company that sell knowledge and software tools to the building/construction industry, architects and engineers) is suffering from the general decline in the economy, which always hits building/construction first and hardest. They had to react, and seeing it from a rational POV, it all makes perfect sense. They had to let people go, they had to react fast, and I was one of the latest arrivals (1½ year). So, bottom line, it's just a matter of unfortunate circumstances. I'm a bit bitter, but it's not directed at them - it's directed at the general financial situation. Wink

The company has been very fair to me, and given me all the conditions I need to focus on moving on. They are not particularly proud of having to let 5 people go (15 in 2011). Also, we (or rather, my colleagues) were told that there was no raises in sight in 2012 (same as 2011), so I'd probably have looked for something else myself. Wink

Again - thanks for the sympathy. I am confident that I will find something else before the end of March, and everything will be good so I can go back to grilling mugu ass. Wink
