Just had my first bit of luck getting some back and forth with a lad and would like to learn at the feet of the masters about how to improve.

Hi funguy, welcome to eater.
It looks from your site like you may have unearthed a scammer's domain: [email protected] is the mail address you got the scam from, it's not a free mail address as such so - it's worth posting cibmalta.com in the fake bank forum (with headers if you have them) and taking it down yourself if you fancy, become a site-killer as well as a baiter. Very Happy

Please change your avatar. Scammers steal IDs like that off the internet and try to pass them off to convence their victims they are real. It may seem silly being it would be a small image but we don't want to help scammers in anyway.

I'll read through your bait. Please do post the fake site that really hurts the lads.

I have read your bait and couldn't help but notice that you sent an ID to the lad.
An easy second mistake for a newbie, but we don't do that as it's something he might re-use for himself in future scams.

Don't worry, it's a learning curve and there are mistakes to be had.

There are lots of alternatives to sending ID to mugus! Most of them can be quite fun (for you, anyway)

(a) My dog ate it.

(b) It is attached. (attach nothing)

(c) It is attached (attach a COPY repeat COPY of a large dll file from your computer, renamed as "passport.com")

(d) It is attached. But it is encrypted for security reasons. (attach a copy again of a dll or similar large junk file). Provide detailed instructions to decode the file...

(e) I don't have a scanner. I can buy one if it is important. (ask what brand/features to look for . Wait a week until it goes on sale. Ask for help hooking it up - - could he provide a photo of the back of his computer to show how his is hooked up? You never were good at mechanical things).

(f) I don't have a passport (ask for advice how to apply for one. Ask advice how to answer the questions on the application. Advise that there is a 12 week delay to get a passport).

(g) The scanner that you bought in (e) does not work! Does he know a lawyer t sue the seller?

Be creative! Mix and match!
