Another example for all of how disgusting these people can be. Over the course of a long bait I've had running, one of my main characters died. Without going into full details, the scammer caused my main character to go to jail where he was stabbed to death by another inmate. He contacted the character's sister and here's what he has to say:

I am so sorry about your brother's death once again and its not my intention to get him killed by another inmate hope you accept my condolences,anyway about the business" i am willing to continue it with you in other to serve as a little compensation for your brothers death. I want you to see me as a business partner now and also a friend because your brother was a very good man and an honest one to be precise. I am the bank manager of ----- Bank United Kingdom and i have in possession 9 million British pounds which i wanted to transfer into your brother's account as the next of kin of the late owner Dr. ----- -------- which the Bank (Foreign Transfer Manager ) has agreed to transfer the inherited funds to his account but he has to pay for the Commission on transfer Charges which converted to USD it is 8,000 Dollars in other for them to commence the transfer of the funds into his account.

I hope you understand this business, I and your brother have really gone far (EDIT - He frequently referred to my character as his best friend) and agreed on percentage of how to share the funds once its transfered into his account, the inherited fund is worth Nine million great British Pounds, interest inclusive and the funds will be shared (40% to me, 40% to you, 10% to any charity organisation, and 10% to reimburse the both of us for all incurred expenses and taxes on both sides, be informed that these amount will be withdrawn from the complete inherited fund after the completion and successful transfer of your inherited fund into your nominated account.

If you are still willing to continue with me on this transaction, firstly you need to provide the below detail and secondly you will pay the Commission on transfer charges according to the bank policy here in the UK.

Disgusting, isn't it? I once played an elderly character who didn't have the money to pay the fee. I suggested I could steal some from my church's orphanage fund as long as I could be sure to receive my big payoff before the theft was discovered, so I could replace it and no one would know. The lad assured me all would be fine. So I stole the money, got caught, was thrown in jail, and committed suicide because of my remorse. My 'daughter' kept the scammer informed and even sent a copy of the obituary. The lad just moved on and started scamming the daughter.

it's all true. My female character suffered from nightmares and depression after a run-in with a rival scammer, and the love lad she was enticing just kept on about his wedding and sending money. I have given up love-baiting him because it was so horrible, but his torture in other areas has been ongoing since April and shows no sign of easing.
