My most often used account is not showing my messages this morning. I click the message but only see the Subject and an ad where the text body should be. I can still read the message with the Show Original. My others seem fine.

I just checked one of my bait accounts and had no trouble when looking at several emails.

I've checked all of mine this morning and only one seems to be doing this. Even the older messages in that account are doing it.

I had the same problem, the way i got it to work was "add" a phone number ie 01234567890.
All emails now work

Thank you xenon! I will try that next time they ask for it. That one was pestering me for over a week for a phone number.

I have about 26 gmail accounts and no problems.

I think dwatina had some problems with gmail recently, but then he uses a Mac. <ducking from flying objects from dwatina>

My problem was that Gmail wanted a phone number for added security, and Web Mail Notifier couldn't get around that request. So I added my number and everything works fine now.

I found the answer that worked for me.

* Goto preferences

* Goto options at the top menu bar

Then go back to your email and check your messages again and it should be working fine. There must have been either an update to AdBlock Plus whch is causing some type of conflict or something within Gmail that suddenly doesn't agree with the add-on.

Thank you dwatina. It looked rather odd showing up in the spam file around the same time I started getting messages from my Colonel bait. I also noticed that the Report Phishing link didn't lead anywhere. I'll send it to Google.

A bit of a "technical" suggestion for everyone here using FireFox - install the WOT/Web of Trust plug-in. KNOWN scams, including ads and links in gmail will have a little red circle icon.. known safe sites, such as 419eater, have a green circle.. I swear by it. Great plug in.
