Hello.

I am ashamed to admit that I got suckered by these people. I applied for a job, which they "gave" me. All official sounding, yada, yada. The job was to receive packages and send them on. Of course, it is all fraud.

http://www.businesstransgroup.com/

I am not sure how they figured out I was on to them, but they did. I received an email from myself to myself saying that I resigned (misspelled.)All I can think of is that I tried to call the number listed on the website (voicemail, of course) or they were tracking my ip as I was figuring out what was going on. Great "Brittain" does not have a Securities and Exchange Commission.

In any case, no damage done to me, except I had to place a hold on my identity. If any of you think you might be able to trap these guys somehow, more power to you! If I can help, please tell me.

Welcome Argryis,

The site certainly looks like it would be of interest to our site killers. We do kill fake websites used to support scams, but in order to do that, we need emails, with headers, used in the scam. Could you please post those here or start a thread in the fake banks forum?

This is the header. Just stripped my own email out. If you need the rest of the original, send me a private message.

Welcome to Eater, argyris. Sorry to hear you were scammed but glad you didn't lose any money.

The header is great, but the email content would be helpful too. Wink

If you could head over to our Fake Bank forum here: http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57 and read the sticky about posting a fake site: http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=148917 and then make a new thread there for your site, we can get a site killer working on getting it dead. Very Happy

Well, they were trying to make me help send them merchandise that they bought through identity theft.

What pissed me off the most was that when I went to report this at my local police station, the detective's response was that I gave the information willingly, this is a civil matter, no crime was committed and "our job is not to prevent crime."

I am now the proud owner of fraudulently bought goods that the police would not tell me what to do with!

I am truly sorry about what's happened to you, and how the police station treated you.

I would post everything you've told us over to our sister site Scamwarners.com, particularly the "victim support" part of their forums. They're a very knowledgeable set of folks and they would have ideas on what to do with the goods you received.

^ Most importantly, don't do anything with it. If you've notified the police make sure you've got it in writing that you've done this. Keep the goods safe and in the condition the arrived in. That way they can be returned whole and intact, and you can't be accused of profiting from the scam.
