See Bart if you would have told me when your birthday was when I inquired, I would have been able to wish you HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the date of your special day, but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo you had to be secretive. If I would have known I could have gone to some dark, dank internet cafe to send greetings. (I was out of town)

As I was flying to/from my destinations this weekend, 2Xs I spotted unattended baggage. You are supposed to contact the nearest LE in the airport terminal and they must hide. So I just reported to the ticket person at the counter nearest the unattended luggage (this was before going through TSA search).

The one man asked me to watch his luggage whilst he went to get coffee. I must have looked at him like he was crazy and told him I could not do that and so he walked off without his luggage. Yes, I turned in that unattended luggage report to nearest pre-TSA search counter --- left that area immediately

Yet, I was very surprised by people around unattended luggage who ignore it.

Speaking of the date thing doesn't everyone say "September twenty fifth"? So it makes sense when you write it numerically to write the month first.

Or is it just Americans that say it that way? Do you Brits say "twenty fifth of September"?

USA date format has caused me many confusions in my life, it took me some time to realize what all tthat 9/11 thing is about (I was ten when it happened haters)

Well, I guess Jim and Mortal if you come to the States for a visit, study up on your dating (calendar), ounces, pounds, and USD, just like when I went to the UK and out to Croatia, I had to figure out the Croatian language, money changing, kilos, grams, etc. When in Rome............................ Wink

I think worldwide 9/11 is pretty much how the date is referred to or as September 11th. I never heard it referred to as 11/9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks

What Morgaine is referring to by that name (9/11) is the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. Not just the generic date. It is "memorialized" in the USA by 9/11,
