Is there any idea how many Nigeria based scammers there actually are?
How many internet cafes and are they full of scammers all day? |

Hi,
Google can find almost anything, including a listing of internet cafes in Lago, giving costs, times, services etc.
As to how many scammers there are? I don't believe any census could possibly be done as they are all over the globe. |

No one knows for sure. One of the problems is that people move into (and out of) the "profession" of scamming all the time. Another problem is that there are some dedicated hard core scammers who "work" constantly at their "trade", while others simply dabble in scamming.
With that disclaimer aside, there are probably several tens of thousands of active internet advance fee scammers at any particular time.

Welcome Tuckerman! 
Wow, you really have a lot of restraint. You have been a member here for 8 months and have 12 posts! If only I could have been that reserved.
You do bring up a GREAT question. I think you could make a successful bait by enlisting a lad to be a survey taker and canvass where ever he lives, the extrapolate the data to make a statistically relevant guess.
In the mean time, you might get the lad beaten up or run out of all internet cafes. 
You would have to cultivate the relationship with the lad, and offer some pretty good sounding perks. I hope you will let us know how it goes.
