As Jeannette says, if anyone wants to change their existing username, simply PM any mod with your new name and we'll wave a magic wand to make it happen immediately.

Sort of like the Witness Protection Program. You'll be issued new ID and have plastic surgery to change your appearance. We recommend you grow a beard, especially if you're a woman.

Actually this actor was Gordon Scott. Film star from the 1950's-1960's. Played Tarzan for several years, then played in a bunch of Sword and Sorcery films AKA: Hercules and others. Then he finally ended his career with low-ball European spy films trying to cash in on James Bond. In Scott's last film, Danger! Death Ray! his character's name was Bart Fargo. The movie was completely cheeseball and featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000. That is one of my favorite MST3K episodes, so instead of something obvious from MST like Torgo, Dr. Forrester, or Lobo, just go with something a little different.

I was thinking of names to choose, and it just so happens my wife was watching one of the Babe films, and I saw the monkey (or chimpanzee, or whatever it is) that goes round dressed up as a butler, and that is what gave me the inspiration Smile

This being the first forum I have signed up to I didn't have a clue what to choose. Whilst thinking, my cat (pictured) walked across the keyboard so I used him for inspiration

He is (mostly) grey and he's called Amadeus.

I'm thinking now that I would prefer AmadeusGrey (sounds more like a firstname-surname).

Might need that 'Magic Juan-d' Wink

I had a previous name, but it was magically changed on my request. My current name ws a collaborative effort. I was helped by a baiter who has since moved on. He helped me check my IP before I knew what an IP was. He made a comment that he was a paranoid freak.

I needed to change my user name because I had used it previously, so I sent a couple of options using paranoid and the Mods voted and the rest is history.

If any one searches ParaNoid it shows up all over the place. One interesting thing is, another user has the name I signed up with. Laughing

I never did figure out Juan's user name, thank you Dora!! Now if I could just figure out jose_cuervo's user name. Wink

I liked the names that were puns (eg Hugh Janus) when I first found this site - especially many of the pseudonyms of the Mighty One - Shiver me Timbers. After lurking for ages I thought I'd have a go at baiting - which is where the phrase "Fill your boots" comes in. It infers, be my guest or knock yourself out.

As well as being a double-entendre which seemed appropriate as I decided to pick on the love lads.

I wanted a name that was both quick and easy to type and remember, that implied someone independent with a mischievous nature who could play with or kill their prey as the mood took them. After running through various possibilities and discarding those that were already taken, I settled on Cougar.

Only after posting did I remember the other usage of that name, and that now seems to have become part of my character here.

How much is me and how much is Cougie? I'm not saying. Razz

I used my main baiting character's name. I chose that name because it was so common/generic...and would make it easy to put in "BJ" references...as in tats. I wanted the name to stick out like Shiver so I therefore wanted to use it everywhere.
