Not my opinon before all you IE thickies start having a go at me.

I use IE.* Cool

They gave free online IQ tests and then kept browser data. There are other variables that need to be considered. Perhaps people who use IE because it's the default browser with windows, messed up the online test because they're less functional on a computer. The validity of online IQ tests is also questionable. Did they make sure to count individual users once? What if one guy using Opera, with a high IQ, took the test over and over again? (Which also brings up the question of statistical significance).

* I also use Firefox.

Yes, if I have a spreadsheet at my disposal.

I actually do use IE, but mainly for sites that Firefox can't display properly.

And don't get me started on Google Chrome... *mumblegrumble*

My browser is Seamonkey. Runs fine in Puppy linux. For years now, I haven't accessed the internet using M$ stuff...

Alas, the source of the story seems to be slightly questionable... or maybe Microsoft's marketing department has had a talk with Auntie Beeb's editorial office?

Though I still love the title to El Reg's write-up... and am not entirely convinced there's nothing to the story. Wink

I use Opera, i think because Scampatroller suggested it when Firefox ate my passwords.

I only ever use IE when I'm doing something important, like buying tickets, and the stupid cheapo website is missing the 'Book Now' button or similar. Some websites are only written to work properly on IE, somehow.

Otherwise, I'd rather eat my own spleen, mainly because of the risk of popup Hell. Confused

Im not sure i concur with the results.

Sharon stone uses I.E and she has a very high IQ, but lets look at it from the net perspective - who views sharon stone to check out her IQ? its her other statistics people google.

Linx is a good browser, so is konquerer, and firefox, but for much of todays free content linx simply isnt the browser of choice by the connoisseur of the unclothed body google searches rofl.

As many may know the most compatible browser for such activities is IE, although chrome does a good job rendering some sites.

Now if we add that into the pot we get:

The people with the lowest IQ also have the worst eye sight as they went blind using IE surfing sites.

I use Safari, Firefox and Chrome, with Chrome being my default baiting browser. Most lads use IE. Need I say more?
