Hi this guy contacted me saying he saw my profile on this website for school friends to find,wile he was searching for a friend.I fell for it because he wrote very nice and wanted me to chat with him on yahoo. He said he is a widower and has a 19 year old daughter and is in business with communication cables and he travels a lot.He has sent me pictures of him, daughter and the house. He said he is from Liverpool.One day he told me he is going to Nigeria for business.I did not think of anything then, but after a week there he told me he is in trouble they don't want to clear his goods for the amount agreed.He asked if i can help him out. So far i have not seen his face,but he agreed to show his face to me on the webcam so i belive him. I really fell for this guy he had a way of saying things, like i should come and visit him. Is he a scamer.The hotel he is staying exists i googled it.

Im sure it is the same lad,i just set up a new email with new name and i will bait him so bad.
He told me the same that his late wife got raped, and he has no friends and apperently he is in benin city waiting for his goods to be cleared.
the emails he sent i tracked the ID it is from Dublin. I should pm you with the pictures and see if he is the same lad.Have you seen him on the webcam?

Even if the photos don't match up, it definitely sounds like a scam.
It's the same tried and tested method that's been used by thousands of romance scammers in the past. |

no, I havent seen him on webcam. in this moment, it did not work.. 
But I had another one on webcam- but it was not him. (so they can trick that out)

You got on to him before you lost money, very good!
Our sister site scamwarners.com would benefit of your experience now, please go there and do your story, it will help others to get away clean too. And they can help with issues like, he has my real phone number and such.
I don't know how much you emotionally invested already, but it will take a while before that goes away. Understand that picture and writer aren't the same person here.
If you want to get even, we can help, just let us know.

You could pick a lesser known celebrity after her umpteenth face lift - then you have lots of pictures available for further requests. Other baiters use the picture of a criminal. Some baiters send the photo only after some "futile attempts", i.e. copied and renamed .dll files from their computer's system, or a complete blank: "Sorry I am not a computer expert, can you explain how to post a picture?" |
