Don't know what the procedure here is exactly, but yeah, I'm new :]

Been reading and reaping the entertainment on this site for a good long time now and thought it'd be about time I made an account for the forum!

@Stoney - I'm no whiz with email headers so I don't understand what you mean by:

There are a bunch of folks here that know everything there is to know about email headers, IPs, etc. I would suggest you post this question as a New Topic here in the Main Scambaiting forum. A lot more people will see your question that way. If you do that, someone will have an answer for you shortly I'm sure.

Finally joined after a few months of regular reading as a guest, so thought I should drop a post in here.

I host and run a few dozen websites on a couple of web servers as part of my day job, so I'm no stranger to scam/spam...

Very enjoyable to see the scammers being engaged in this way - you guys are doing some astonishingly good work here.

I'm doing so now, thank you - it certainly is very comprehensive and informative, with the bonus that watching the tables get turned on these criminals is also entertaining (can any of them even spell karma?), and turning the scammers into the victims is most certainly the fairest treatment I can think of for them.

The Safaris are simply awesome - I showed a few to SWMBO, and she thinks it's true genius - the resources you've got here to keep the baits alive are outstanding.

I'll get back to my reading... Smile

You will have noticed that as for annoying the scammers, nearly everything goes - with some important exceptions and rules. One of them: Bait safe, i.e. anonymous.

To learn more, read the stickies and Eater University and apply for a mentor, and ask whenever you feel you need advice. We don't flame newbies. Laughing

I've got a romance lad that started with the bank transfer then went to the passport. Now back to the bank transfer. Lad will not get off script.

A big second hello to all from a relative newbie in the UK.

I first registered in 2006 and tried a couple of tentative baits all triggered by someone trying to con me on a car sale. Then real life took over and one extra child later (who is about to start school!) I find myself in the mood and with a little more time.

I've created a character 'G3rt Kn0b4rt', a likeable middleage US manual worker, heart of gold but not technically gifted shall we say. He has a Voxox US phone number and a ymail account.

Seeded quite a few guestbooks and away we go... 5/6 baits on the go already at various stages. I'm going to post a topic about his adventures and ask for advice direct on there.

Brand new here today. I was going to lurk for a while but coincidentally a friend told me of something that sounded very strange and, in my opinion, sounds like a new type of scam. It seems vulnerable (to the scammer) so thought I would ask if anyone else has come across it.
Do I post a question here or is there somewhere to report this?

Hello all,

I found this site while looking for tips on winding up a scammer I am currently reeling in.

I sent them fake address & tel details and they have now the scammers 'barrister' (obviously a Nigerian term for brother or mate) has e-mailed me asking for a copy of my driving license or passport.

Told them I don't have a driving license as the chauffeur does all the driving and sent them a picture of the outside cover of a passport and told them to open the picture and look inside my passport. Confused

As the scammer is claiming to be female I thought I'd try my luck in chatting her (him) up, let's see how far that goes. Twisted Evil

hehey all. signed up a while ago but but havnt been online in a while so I've signed up with 4ppl.com with the name cud who is a sex addict and so far have bout 6 or so lads on the go. taken all necessary precautions except the picture is actually me though it not very good lol. hope to be of service as my brother was scammed for a couple grand when he was selling his monaro.

Just curious: You do know that pictures can be searched with Google? If you have used it elsewhere, e.g. on your FaceBook profile, your real life information might be found out by scammers. Are you really happy baiting with your photo?
