is it a good idee to ignore the emails and chats for a couple of days to let him or her think you are not interested anymore. this is my first bait and i need to learn a lot but im getting pretty good with messing them around

Oh yeah, I sometime ignore them for a couple of weeks. In fact, I rarely send lads more than 2-3 mails a week, tops. Then intensify in shorter periods, send him all hkinds of mail, only to go silent for maybe a week. Silence can be a mighty source for lad frustration. Twisted Evil

It depends upon the bait. But when starting out, your best bet is to do one email a day (or every other day). Once you gain experience, you will learn to trust your gut instinct.

I normally don't do multiple emails in one day, but today I had a very anxious lad who I can definitely mess with. The lad is way too eager. So I changed tactics.

i hope you will get a response soon, i just dont know yet how far i can go so not to make it suspicious. They quite dumb in a way,and gallopable. They see the dollar signs in front of them and fall for it.

I'd reply to about 10. Then just pick the one or two that seem to be the most interesting or eager to you. There are lots of reasons lads do not reply. Sometime they get lazier than usual, abandon email accounts and unfortunately get real victims money and slow down their scamming. Keep at it I promise you will get some replies. Laughing

Also don't forget to keel your initial reply to a sime "I'm interested please tell me more."

I just set up a new email account with mail.com can they trace my location with that account does anybody know i like to bait the same person but with a different name and see what sobb story he has to tell, but i dont want to get caught. I have a different name. Am i to cocky to do that. Im having so much fun here.but i dont want to get ahead of myself.

So if you're too paranoid use Gmail, Hushmail or Fastmail (poor storage) instead Wink

I usually answer fast at the beginning to get them hooked, then it's like theDane does, also, no emails on weekends

Once you've promised to send money, you should hear from your lad more often. Then you can start ignoring him.

My latest is Anthony. He's expecting $400. I reply to him once every 3 or 4 days and this is what my inbox has looked like every day since June 2nd.
I have 3 pages of this.
I gave him hell about all the emails clogging my inbox and getting all heated up over a piddling $400, but he "just want to make sure you understand me ok".

I enjoy coming up with bizarre excuses in baits, to explain periods of silence.

From a recent bait of mine, in which my character was an administrator in a hospital specializing in the treatment of lycanthropy patients:

hey have you ever dealt with one lad, but you think there are 2 because the emails i receive are sometimes in very good english, and then not so proper.
Also i think there are different ip adresses. in one email there are two different location how does that work.I would love to find that out

^^ Lads do work together.
As far as the good English concerns: the first mails you receive are scripts (put together by smarter guys).
When the lad is off script you'll notice that by their "proper English" Laughing

Sure, and sometimes even after the lad gets past his scripted replies and his English deteriorates, his boss or someone with better English skills might step in and write to you from the same email address.

I'm baiting a lad right now where this happened (see John Mathin in my siggy). Mathin always used the word "arthoney" (a gross misspelling of "attorney"). I kept using "arthoney" as well to make him think this was the proper spelling. Mathin got very frustrated over my delays and then wrote me a couple of days ago and the word "attorney" was properly spelled several times. The next day, small boi was back to using the term "arthoney". Rolling Eyes

I'm sure these idiots thought I wouldn't notice. Very Happy
