I know that this letter may be a very big surprise to you, I am giving you my trust and wish you will give me back the trust i have given you. I believe that you will be honest to fulfill my final wish before I die.I am Madam. Maryam Abacha,the wife of former head of state of the Federal republic of Nigeria, I am suffering from a long time cancer of the brain .From all indication my condition is really deteriorating, and my doctors have courageously advised me that I may not live beyond the next two months, this is because the cancer stage has reached a critical stage. Following the sudden death of my husband General Sani Abacha in June (1998), I have been thrown into a state of utter confusion, frustration and hopelessness by the civilian administration, I have been subjected to physical and psychological torture by the security agents in the country. My son was only recently released from detention due to health related reason, he was initially detained for an offense he did not commit, he is still being arraigned before the federal high court of Nigeria till date. As a widow that is so traumatizing for me,I have lost confidence with anybody within the country. You must have heard over the media reports and the Internet on the recovery of various huge sums of money deposited by my husband in different security firms abroad, some companies willingly give up their secrets and disclosed our money confidently lodged there or many outright blackmail.

Since the death of my Husband,I decided not to re-marry, I sold all my belongings and deposited all the sum of $5.2million dollars with a security company here in Nigeria,as it was packaged and registered as a personal Valuable.Presently, this money is still in their custody, and the management just wrote me as the Legitimate beneficiary to come forward to receive the Deposit after keeping it for so long or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf since I cannot come over as a result of my illness, Presently, I’m with my laptop in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment and if i hand over this money to my son the Government will questioned him,this is my reason of contacting you to hand over this money to you, I have since lost my ability to walk about or do anything by myself and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months on earth.

It is my last wish to see that this money is invested in any business of your choice and the gain made every year or 6 months as the case may be, distributed each year among the charity organization, the poor and the motherless babies home where I come from. I want your good humanitarian, to also use this money to help people, orphanages and widows around you, 20% for you, I must let you know that this was a very hard decision, but I had to take a bold step towards this issue because I have no further option.
I hope you will help me see that my last wishes come true.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the security company.Please assure me that you will act accordingly as i stated herein.

Oh dear are they killing our beloved Maryam off after all these years? Her passing will be a sad loss for the entire bating community.

you ave a very common script/format there.

I've seen this phrase used instead of Orphanage a few times as well

"motherless babies home"

Sounds like an insult doesn't it ..

"You motherless fool!"

You should add this into the Surplus scam e-mail forum ,,

Oh, noooooooooooooo

I baited Maryam (several times) YEARS ago. I think I had something like 3 Maryam's going at once at one time. Have not see her name for quite a while.

I remember her, I baited "her" for six months and then (s)he gave up on me. I'm surprised that lads are still using her script as she is getting older and the most recent news about the REAL "Mariam/Maryam Abacha" is that she made a public apology in August of 2010 in Hausa language to try and justify her actions. Unfortunately nobody really forgave her. I even used this article in my bait too. Wink
