Howdy,
Over the past few months I've been getting multiple mails similar to the one reproduced below. All arrive on the same day and all are addressed to different alias I have. This is a sample of one of the 19 that arrived in my spam box. Any ideas?

Let me present you one of the largest worldwide enterprises where I work as a manager of HR department.

This company can be found in various branches, such as:
- real estate
- founding and abatement of enterprises
- supporting in opening of banking accounts
- etc.

Presently we have vacant positions to be offered in Europe:
- salary $2.400 + bonus
- part-time employment
- free timetable

Attention! We are recruiting only those who have a right to work in Australia or New Zealand!

If this isn't a scam then I'll go he, but I haven't seen any reports of similar.
I'm up to a bait, bit different as its a job vacancy, but then again as I work on a oil rig it's interesting.

It's a typical employment scam.

That's a red flag. You'd be banking fake checks and sending 80% of the proceeds to the scammer by Western Union.

I've heard this mob is Russian Mafia connected or is that bull?

You can start with something simple, like "That sounds interesting. Please tell me more."

Use Gmail or other emails that hide your IP.

The best starting point is to ask or a mentor. And for any scam that involves you being sent fake checks, you need a drop box ideally, but they are only available to premium members.
Second best is to have them sent to a non-existent address and just pretend to have received them.

I baited one for a couple of months recently (I was so disappointed when my job as an Oceanographer on a Dairy Farm fell through).

Their angle was they were an employment agency and I had to send funds via WU to pay for "employment processing fees".

I didn't use any overly original baits. Just sent them to s3cure sh1eld, sent fake WU receipt with number covered up, etc. Before I even got to the wu part I had probably wasted 3-4 weeks asking questions, not being able to follow directions, etc. I did end up getting their bank killed since I was just incapable of handling WU. Twisted Evil

I can't speak for all employment baits, but my lads had pretty straight forward wu fees required.
