You could try :
http://www.servicingstop.co.uk/ford_fiesta_service.html
and see what they come up with.
Generally, Ford set a fixed price for servicing so you should get the same or near enough the same price from any reputable service garage

Shouldn't be too much, Fiestas are simple and designed to be inexpensive to maintain. I'm not sure how much it affects residuals to keep up a full Ford service history but this may be a consideration - It's not something I've looked into as I haven't ever bought a car less than ten years old. My current one is twenty next year, I will have a party for if it's still going. |

I manage an auto shop, but I have no service info on that one yet. They just started the 6th gen Fiesta in the US this year.At 12k miles on any vehicle, you are looking at a fairly minor service.Typically an oil change, tire rotation, and basic check over of fluids and filters.Possibly a cabin air filter if the vehicle is so equipped, and an engine air filter. At 12k I would not expect any fluid changes-mostly just looking the vehicle over.Somewhere in your owners manual, there should be a breakdown of what the scheduled maintenance consists of for various mileages and ages.Sometimes in a separate booklet. |

If it's under 12k, it's still under manufacturer's warranty isn't it?
If that's the case, it needs to go to a Ford dealer where it will probably cost you up to about £200. Most of that is labour but it means that your warranty is still valid.
If it's not under warranty or you don't care, shop around. You can probably get it done for around the £100-120 mark at a local garage. |

I'm not certain about in the UK,but here the dealer cannot by law require maintenance be done there to keep the warranty in effect. As long as the maintenance is performed and documented there is no warranty issue. |

Thanks guys
Ive been following your advice and got a few quotes ranging from 30 to 40 quid for the light and any oils it might need. Ford said its only a 1.25 so use 5/35 semi synthetic for it and to make sure they drain the gearbox and replace, its not performance model and using the basic will be fine i wouldnt benefit from any additives either.
There all saying almost the same thing which is good, just give it a top up myself if it needs it, as its done 11940 now, all that should need then is the light reset but when its 3 it will need on 1/9/2011 a major service and mot, they all said around £150 - 170 for that as there almost the same checks.
Apart from one garage who said pull the fuse out! |
