since 2-3 weeks I am in touch with a new guy... - today its the first time we chat.
He already thinks I am "the one"...
He wanted to use the cam- fortunately I dont have one...
He put it on, and I expected it would not work.... but he is there. I really did not expect a 'ordinary' white man. (sorry, dont want to offend anyone).

Apparently they can use videos to pretend that it's them on cam. Was there any indication that he was responding to what you were saying or did he just show "himself" briefly or what? |

it looked a bit strange really...
I asked him to smile (as he should be happy we finally got around to chat) and he reacted offended... 
I guess it is not really him. he looked in different directions, as if there are more then just one screen...
I did not know this is possible... I guess I just did not expect that.. |

Have a look at the "Webcam Faking (and capturing) Tutorial" on page 2 in Eater University. Many romance scammers are doing this by now, both with male and with female fakes.  |

In 2008 it was less of an issue but nowadays they use it more and more.
It´s not too complicated, that programme lets YIM know it has a "webcam" while in fact you are playing a video instead of it. Just for you to see that and how it could be done |

Interesting. Not bad so to say- to be honest, it looked a bit similar to the photo in the profile.. funny.
this one might be more clever then the last one. But the script in generell seems to be very similar. (widow, engineer, not at home, lonely and looking for the right one.... )
