I was contacted by this woman calling herself JESSICA BRAUN in Feburary 2001 she has contiually asked me to send her money for rediculious reasons like wanting to ship 2.7 million dollars to my address in England From Pretoria South Africa and also she has demanded money from me for her hotel bills and food and travelling expensies to visit me in england she is a nutorias scammer who has a face book profile under the name of jESSICA maxwell she has sent me several pictures and demanded money of up to $2000 also she has scammed many other men by posting a profile on the dating website be2.com where she has scammed other men too.

What you are describing is the typical approach of a romance scammer, and it sounds like this one has been pretty active.

Since this scammer has your real life information, it is best to cut off all contact with him (the person behind the emails is most likely a male, not a female). Do not try to bait him or string him along as he has your real info.

Then, you can bait him from a new name and email address (if you want to do this, I would suggest signing up for a mentor), or if you want to offer this person to some baiters, I would suggest you post the scammer's info, along with the first email (with headers, just remove your address) the scammer sent you, in the love/dating scams forum where most of our romance baiters hang out.

I would also suggest you post over at scamwarners.com, our victim warning site. Post as many of this scammer's emails as you can (just keep them in one topic), as they are scripts that he will try to reuse on other victims. Just make sure you remove your own personal information when you post.

I would also have to agree that you should not bait anyone who has your real life information.

Also if you want to help and you have emails with the header codes post them here and on scam warners.

Dorothy is right on with the "get out immediately if you've used personal information" statement. Still if you just want to see where they are from and use an IP tool to verify, the linky I gave is more than enough. Be aware, the alleged scammer may be scamming from their proper home country. Therefore, your IP check will come up an obivous "shows point of origin matching place scammer says they are" feedback.

Victim support expertise is really better sought from scamwarners. I wish you luck on your endeavors and play it safe, not personal information tied directly to RL (Real Life).
