The latter sentence sounds like many love lads. The former paragraph, the one with transporting drugs, is indeed very unusual in this context; unless i´m missing something.

I have a feeling it´s more a "professional drug traffickers using the means of online dating to make a victim travel to London" crime rather than an outright "African love scam" as we know it (and bait them).
