Commodore 64 and Vic 20, i remember both of those. Even though i was a tad bit to young to play them to any greater extent. But still, nice memories.

The Nintendo 8 bit on the other hand...

First family computer was an Amstrad CPC-464, with green screen and cassette loading.

First console was the Sega Megadrive. Lost many happy hours playing Cool Spot, Desert Strike, and Robocop vs Terminator (did that end boss ever flipping die??)

My current pc is from Tiny, purchased in 2000 and running Windows 98. :yikes:

Yep, I'm in a technological timewarp. Embarassed

I also have a Samsung N110 netbook, which I use for the internet at home.

C64?Hi tech.I started with a TRS80 with 4k of memory.Thats right,4k as in kilobytes.I quickly upgraded to the then unheard of 16k bytes of memory.I had a C64 for many years after the TRS80,and flogged it for years after the first PC became popular.All in all,a decent computer for the time and for the price.

Our first computer was a C64. I remember playing some stupid fishing game on it. This is regular stroll down memory lane. As far as consoles I was Atari all the way. Space invaders and astroid all day long. Oh and a game I think was called Atlantas.

I remember a freind had Intellivision. A few months ago I was helping my mother in law replace water heaters (they are in her atic for some ungodly reason). She had a bunch of old boxes from purchases over the 30 years she has lived there. One of the boxes was an Intellivision and it still had a price tag on it. I want to say it was like $200 or something pretty high when you consider inflation.

Edit does anyone remeber Demon Attack on Atari? I was seriously hooked on that one.

First real programming experience was a TI99a. Hours inpiting commands from magazines to play a game. It also employed cartridge technology and was expandable. Initially used a cassette then added floppy drive.

Those new Commodores don't sound too shabby. They're redeuxing the Amigas as well.

By god, when I was trying to grow up, Most of us had our fingers and toes to count with.
And if you were good enough friends, some of the boys could Even count to twenty one...

And Don't get me started on "Drag and Drop"..
Just Trust Me, "Joystick" meant something back in My day..

Sticks, We had Sticks to draw pictures with. who needs a monitor when You have a good Stick?

Of course this was way back, when a Mouse was something You hunted,
and a Wireless Text message, was a crumpled note tossed across the room...

^^^When we weren't walking uphill (both ways) to and from school through blizzards and gunfire, we had to entertain ourselves with a sliderule and a black-and-white VCR.

I honestly don't remember my first PC -- I think it was a Packard Bell with a 700 meg hard drive and 256k of RAM.

But in 1983 my office got an Apple Lisa. It ran a windows program and you could drag and drop with a mouse. So cool.

Let's look through the round window.

In the 80's the Acorn Archimedes (Arc) was the home computer to own in the UK. It blew just about all of the opposition out of the water with it's Arm (RISC) processor. Expensive though, with serious image problems.

You can see by the way it was presented that it was stymied from the start. Computers were educational and worthy, not toys.

For the record, I wasn't a rich kid when I got my TRS80 Model II; I bought two of them for my office, with my boss's money. But I did use it a lot for personal word processing. Somewhere I may still have an 8" floppy with old documents. Anyone have a drive, and Scripsit software? Wink
