Early on in a bait your Lad will usually be using a pre typed script, when the spelling and grammar goes to shit you know you have them off script and on the hook.

You could ask what a “sundry account” is, and ask about it in detail. But don’t ask all you questions at once. A “sundry account” sounds sort of racy and because you’re religious you just can’t get involved in any racy.

Ask about the lawyer, tell him some relative got taken by a slick lawyer and until you’re sure the lawyer is ok you will not go farther. Ask all sorts of questions and ask for references. Remind him your doing it for both of you.

I agree with buried. Apply for a mentor. They are experts and can keep the lads running in circles for a very long time.
The problem most new baiters find is that the bait fizzles out leaving that "empty" feeling Crying or Very sad

After a few of those, new baiters tend to wander away. It is an art and one well worth knowing. The satisfaction gained from wasting a lad's time and money for weeks or months is VERY rewarding.

This is so true. Especially when they start with very high or unrealistic expectations (safaris, trophies, etc) in their first baits. Mentors are really worth their weight in gold.

In addition to the patience I have developed (not answering their emails but once a day, or every other day, maybe even 3 -5 days later) I have developed what I call "low expectations" meaning the plain vanilla straight baiting, then if I get a piggy or nice photo along the way, then I have exceeded my expectations. I just want to keep them busy and out of the hair of RL victims and have fun of what the creativity that I write.

Broadly, you have a couple of options - you can try to keep on pestering the lad and dragging your feet, or you can contact the "lawyer" as requested. The lawyer is of course just the same lad or one of his accomplices, so he's just trying to move things closer to what he thinks will be a payday.
