I have no way to track it down to post, but...

It has a set of marinas for all the yachts that if added up are larger than Cannes. The business district was described as being like a Chinese new wealth city.
Official growth is 7%pa, the government is promising 10% growth this year, yet all the money is in very few hands.
Many nigerian businessmen blame corruption as being the biggest obstacle to trade.
It costs about $3500 just in bribes per container landed at Lagos to clear customs (on top of real legal costs like duty, fees, etc)

Just a bit of reference. - of course Nigeria isn't the only country to produce thieves, but it seems to have a particular flair for it...

According to Transparency International Nigeria only comes 134th out of 180 in the corruption stakes. Beaten by Russia and some of the Soviet central Asian states! Sad
