French baiters, I'll be spending a couple weeks in your lovely country (near Cannes) in April, and would like to have a way to go online there. Can you recommend a good PAYG (prépayée) mobile internet service? I only need the SIM card, but if there are cheap offers with a 3G stick included that's fine too. All I can find are 1-year contracts for €20/month and up. I'd like something that only costs a few euros per day or GB when I use it, and does not require a French bank account. Is there such a thing? |

How about WiFi?

More and more small, independent Cafes and Restaurants are providing free WiFi hotspots.
Please check the map below for Cafes with free Wi-Fi in Cannes, France. |

Problem is, we'll be moving a lot and I doubt there'll be many WLAN hotspots where we'll be staying.
Depending on the weather we'll either follow the coastline through Genova - Nice - Antibes - Cannes - St Raphaël - Fréjus, or take the Provençale (A8). Our ultimate goal is Les Arcs.
That would make a 3G dongle the perfect solution. |
