I just put the toe in the water today. Seems they are workin this angle pretty hard. After about two hours I got an email out of the blue, Adelaide spelt wrong, fairly broken english. IP resolves to the UK

Pictures are of a very nice house (although different houses I believe) they are gunna suck a lot of people in with this. Ill go careful till I am sure its a scammer and then go to town.

Either post the email here or google unique phrases of it, and it will likely be very easy to determine whether it is a scammer.

If this is indeed a scammer, see if he/she is already posted over at scamwarners--we have an entire forum dedicated to rental scammers. If not, start a thread over there for this scammer, including the contents of the email and the email address they are using. Don't post your responses, and don't worry that it will compromise your bait--these scammers send the same format out to so many people that they will have no idea who is posting--and with rental scammers, getting the information out is key to protecting people--like you said, they could suck a lot of people in.

Yup, google search sent me right to scamwarners. Ill shall intitiate baiting proceedures and try and bring the pain

I have posted a couple of ads and they are rolling in now. Got a couple on the go, even got a bank out of one of them. If they can find adequate parking for my Spitfire I will be happy to sign the lease and send the money.

They have all sent me quite good passport and deed documents in the second or third email, I think they are probably being quite successful with this format. I know I would have fallen for this when I moved to the city.
