Hello, fellow baiters. I haven't been hanging around these parts much lately. Life got very busy a few months ago and I have had to severely curtail my baiting but I kept up with one lad because he seemed willing to put up with whatever crap I threw at him. It all started last year with a typical Iraqi refugee format - a widow, Basira Abdullah, has millions and needs help getting it out of the country. Of course, I was quickly handed over to her banker, Mr. David Downfield.

After a few months of straight baiting, I was getting tired of him so I tried to get him to drop me by demanding things from him. I managed to get him to fill out the Money Gram Security Forms. For some reason he referred to himself as David Holt on those forms - maybe he got confused as to which of his scam characters he was using with me. I tried numerous times to get him to safari to Amsterdam so I could get him on web cam but I was never able to get him to do it. I also tried to get him on web cam in London (where he is located) but he wouldn't budge on that, either.

For the past few months we have been going round and round about who is going to pay for his flight to Amsterdam. I insist he pay. He insists (of course) that I send him the money for the flight. We probably exchanged 50 emails (2 or 3 a week) on that topic alone. I figured he would give up on my because we were just going in circles but he has hung in there.

Just to keep his interest up and see if I could earn my Sand Timer

, I changed my story a month or so ago by finally agreeing to pay for his air fare but that I would have to borrow money from friends and family to do it. Of course, there have been lots of problems preventing completion of the deal but dear, sweet, patient David keeps on keepin' on! Very Happy

Here is his latest email (from 2 days ago):

He ends most of his emails with some statement about how he doesn't have time for this. But, obviously, he does. Wink

I think I'll tell him I had to go to Japan because I fear my brother was lost in the tsunami or something....

Well done, Raga Man! Getting a sandtimer via your own bait and not by helping push someone else's across the line (which is how two of mine were earned) is a fine piece of work.

Thanks, all. Much appreciated. I am surprised this jerk has hung on this long. I guess he figures patience and persistence will win the day. I wonder how long it will take him to figure out the I am a complete waste of time! Twisted Evil
