In 2 days, I've taken him from a demand that I pay
"Amount: $880.00 only, needed for the normalizing of your local bank at the high court firstly to enable the Federal Ministry for Finance (FMF) finally approve your payment that will commence immediately your bank account details normalized."

to him paying...

Lad just said:

"As soon as I hear from you then I will raise the required normalization fee of $880.00 and confidentially make the payment through our accredited attorney to avoid an eye brow here in our government and is against the law for me to pay or help for a customer or a beneficiary, it is also against our committee ethics."

Uh..... you're supposed to be getting money out of me.

That's nothing, I've got a lad who promises in the third act of his script:

Also make sure you give this business attention more then any other business in your life for now untill we conclude the success of this transaction into your account.

Lads offer to do this fairly often. They pay fake money to their fake barrister/banker in an effort to gain trust in you. If you were a real vic that did not understand that the barrister/banker was fictitious wouldn't you be more likely to trust the scammer if he had just paid some of the fee's? Just a trust building tactic on the lads part to get his payday later.

Him paying imaginary fees to show willing is one thing. Getting money from the lad is illegal and not discussed here - see the FAQ's.

It works very well on victims because they don't know that the scammer is playing all of the roles. I've seen victims who were sucked in for a long time, paid a lot of money and when they realize they were scammed, STILL believe in the initial character who claims to have also lost money. The scammer will use that character to commiserate with the victim, blame the other characters, even fire them - and find "new" bankers, etc to continue the transaction.

He'll gain my trust by filling out the 5-page security questionnaire I sent him.

I do like the thought of an 'eye brow' being an elected government official (yes just a single eye brow, no head or body attached)... perhaps it works for the ministry of the interior ... not sure how it would get on in the foreign office (unable to shake hands) .. most of ours (MP's) are completely bald. It would need a chauffeur and a stylist.

Hopefully that is because he used to target deaf and disabled people till he ran foul of the website Reaper set up that sucked a lot of lads into.

That worked really well, I had a lot of fun with them, closing bank accounts on a daily basis
