"FedEx" just told me that I should send money for my bank draft by Western Union. Of course, I've never heard of Western Union, living as I do in a tiny village in Japan called Tokyo, so I asked what it was:

Sorry T the T, but I have to disagree. My current lad has told me how to proceed and WU comes up second best:

I advise you to proceed to any MoneyGram outlet in your location, tell them you are sending money to Lagos, Nigeria, Blah...blah...blah...

Alas, you are both wrong (and so are your lads!). The cheapest and most reliable fund transfer service is Federal Union Cash Wireless Internet Transfer Service (FUCWITS). It has a number of locations all over the world -- alas, there never seems to be one right where the mugu happens to be located - -they have yet to charge me a penny and I want you to know I have definitely gotten my money's worth!

^^^ I will have to remember to keep that in my back burner called "Pain for Lads", especially as I am an international wire transfer specialist for a deep southern private bank who specializes in using Deuzer's Magical wire transfer tricks.

@BRUIN - needless to say, I always prefer to pay by bank transfer. For this, you need the lad's bank's SWIFT and/or IBAN codes, and the FART (Foreign Asset Reception & Transmission) code is also necessary. Make sure the lad always goes to the bank and asks them for their FART code.

Reading through my lad's reply again, he points out that if I pay westy cash they can transfer right away.

My lad helpfully wrote:

What if I pay by credit card or cheque? I wonder if they wait for the money to get into their bank account before they set up the transfer?

Could be a useful delaying tactic that.
