I've never used it myself, but a classmate is trying to get a alptop from it. However the seller wants the money sent via good ol' WU which sent alarm bells ringing. I thought that a seller would something akin to paypal.
What do you guys think? |

I have used eBay quite a bit for buying and selling. I make it a policy to not bid on anything that only accepts WU/MG.
You also have to be careful if the seller accepts a check. They get the check and cash it and then will say it bounced and to send another check and they will return the first check. Foolishly I did that once. However, I gave negative feedback on that one.
I will only deal with sellers with high feedback ratings. |

Nearly all buyers and sellers use PP through eBay. It's expensive but covers both parties.
There are scam PP and eBay emails used by scammers though.
Usually trying to convince one of the parties to send via WU or MG through an escrow.
All bull and you know that those alarm bells are usually right! |

at the very least, classmate is wary and won't do the WU thing, plus he spent a fair bit of time chatting to eBay staff about it. Hopefully, that's one lad who won't be getting any cashola today  |
