I have also moonlighted (moonlit?) as a retired handegg player, his daughters, a Senior Corporate Account Manager, an engineering student who can't use his cell phone in the lab, an Indian immigrant to Puerto Rico, a Romanian security agent, a Russian-American building contractor, a Greek vet, and several parallel lads.

My principal contribution to this environment consists of wrong answers.

PF, from what I have read the best all out helmet you could make would be a Velostat lined aluminium helmet with a piece od wire mesh over the frontal lobe to reduce the chance of microwasve transmission. This can all be placed in a common baseball cap for conspicuousness. Of course rumor has it the aliens will cause burning in your brain as you try and construct it and may even steal it to keep you from wearing it.

I can construct one for $250USD payable via WU.

You simply construct a faraday cage around yourself.

You need only chicken wire, and a unicycle. The shaft of the unicycle, suitably coated in a resistant material, exits through a hole.

Utilizing what one may call the "faraday unicycle," one is completely shielded from external EMF. It is left as an exercise to the devoted paranoiac exactly how to get a cell phone signal while within one's faraday unicycle.

The above is the less mobile "coffin of doom" design in which one may sleep safe from nefarious tesla coils and alien transmissions.
