Hi there - my Hotmail account was recently hacked and used to send out tons of the "I'm stranded in London, please send money" email to all my contacts. I decided to play around with the scammer, which led to a multi-week adventure into scambaiting. Read and enjoy!

Nice work, but if you're interested in doing this in the future, its better to do so against people who don't have your personal details.
Most lads are lazy and probably don't know what an IP is. Nevertheless, its always good to be safe. |

it could be used for further baiting, as this might be one of the scammers email addresses (not a stolen one).
very interesting bait, as those people never show up in catcher accounts. |

Good point. Luckily the pinpointing of a specific address based on IP alone is problematic, particularly in an urban area, don't you think? |
